BMAC Rules and Guidelines

This is a wholesale market not open to the public. Companies interested in buyer badges are required to submit documents indicating that their business currently buys and resells craft art. Buyers are employees who have the power to initiate purchasing commitments with an artist. Additionally, no solicitation is permitted on the show floor.

Buyer Registration is $39 during the pre-registration period (before February 6, 2009) or $45 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This includes badges for up to four attendees. These badges are intended for employees with the power to initiate purchasing commitments. Also included in the cost of registration is a one-year subscription to both NICHE and AmericanStyle. Or join the more than 500 galleries participating in the Preferred Gallery program. For just $99, receive all of the registration package and gain a web page on AmericanStyle.com, a free buffet lunch during the show, and more.

Beginning Jan. 8, 2009, badges will be sent out the week following your completed registration. Our final badge mailing will occur on January 30, 2009. Badges requested on or after that date will be available at Buyer Will Call desk during the show.

Cameras are not allowed on the show floor without written permission of show management.

Cash-and-carry atmosphere is not permitted at this show. All orders must be shipped.

Due to insurance regulations and a desire to promote a business environment, no child under the age of twelve will be allowed on the show floor. Exceptions may be requested from show management for infants under six months in a frontal sling carrier only (strollers are prohibited). Childcare is available on-site for a nominal fee.

Guests must be sponsored by an artist who is then responsible for their behavior. Guests may not attend with buyers. Students and visiting artists are encouraged to attend and may register on-site for a fee. Link here to visiting artists' information. Guests are expected to respect the professional atmosphere of the show by not interrupting a sale or the general flow of business. Guests also may not sketch or photograph artists' work. Guests found in violation of these guidelines may be removed from the Market.

There is no smoking anywhere in the Convention Center.
