Wendy Rosen
President and Publisher
Growing up as the daughter of an artist, Wendy Rosen gained an early understanding of the business challenges artists face. At the age of 25, she founded The Rosen Group to help artists with their marketing and business issues. That same year, she launched the Buyers Market of American Craft, which quickly became one of the top 200 trade shows in America by providing a unique way for artists to connect with art galleries, craft shops and luxury retailers. NICHE magazine followed, aiming to educate art retailers about business strategies. In 1994, Rosen founded AmericanStyle magazine for collectors and cultural travelers, with in-depth features about artists, galleries, museums, art walks and art festivals. She is actively involved in the Made in America movement through the nonprofit American Made Alliance, and in educating artists through the nonprofit Arts Business Institute. In 2009, Gifts & Decorative Accessories magazine named Rosen one of 15 “Gifted Women” who have influenced the nation’s gift industry.
Hope Daniels
Vice President and Editorial Director
Hope Daniels came to The Rosen Group in 1995 as editor of AmericanStyle and NICHE magazines, and, together with publisher Wendy Rosen, has spearheaded the magazines’ growth and editorial direction. In addition to her magazine responsibilities, Daniels was promoted to vice president of The Rosen Group in 2002. She grew up in northern New Jersey and holds a journalism degree from Rutgers University. Daniels has an extensive background in newspaper and magazine publishing, including positions as a features editor at The Philadelphia Bulletin and The Baltimore Sun.
Jean Thompson
Director of Public Relations, Marketing and Circulation
Jean Griffith-Thompson found the perfect merger of her passions at The Rosen Group: She came to us from New York, where by day, she tied tiny knots between pearls as a SoHo jewelry studio apprentice. By night, she edited national news articles at The New York Times. Before that, she held a variety of news, features and editorial positions at The Baltimore Sun. Her combined experience as an artisan, writer, editor and newsroom administrator prepared her for her current responsibilities as The Rosen Group’s director of public relations, marketing and circulation.
Christine Kloostra
Show Director
Christine Kloostra, show director of the Buyers Market, has worn a variety of hats at The Rosen Group. She previously served as contributing editor of AmericanStyle and NICHE magazines, and prior to that was The Rosen Group’s director of public relations and marketing. Kloostra, a Michigan native, has called Charm City home since 1997. She and her husband are the parents of a toddler and preschooler whose idea of craft involves foam stickers, construction paper and vast quantities of (thankfully) washable paint.
Barbara Turner
Controller
Barbara Turner came to The Rosen Group in 2001 and was promoted to controller in 2007. She received her degree in accounting from York College of Pennsylvania. In Turner’s spare time she enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, and DIY projects around her home.
