A NEW ACCESSORIES MARKET: MODERN MOBILITY
Today,
people want things that are small and portable. Technology has shrunk.
Consider these examples: the iPod, notebook computers, and cellphones.
Each takes up a fraction of the space that their predecessors did
and are highly portable.
What does this mean to you? It means a growing niche market for
portable accessories. This trend needs specific products, such as:
- laptop
carrying cases
- iPod
purses
- cell
phone holders
- digital
camera cases
Designing
the product isn't enough. Who should you be reaching?
- young
professionals
- college
students
- teachers
- teenagers
- everyone
on the go!
ANOTHER
TAKE ON MOBILITY
Targeting the mobile market doesn't just mean coming up with new
designs. It also means rethinking old designs with portability
in mind.
Examples
include:
- Cubicle
Craft - sculpture that sits on an office desk
- Small
Surprise Sentiments - gifts that can be tucked away in a purse/suitcase
for a spouse going to work
- Car
Craft - art for display on rear-view mirrors, dashboards, and
rear windows
- Handmade
Travel Accessories - tote bags, alarm clocks, small inspirational
charms
