New Faces, New Work to Debut at the Buyers Market of American Craft

Baltimore, Md. (October 22, 2007)—Craft retailers will find new work by several new ceramic artists when they visit the Buyers Market of American Craft, February 15-18, 2007.  Among the new exhibitors are artists who are both seasoned and novice wholesalers.

Debuting ceramicists include:

  • Adam Paulek Pottery, Clinton, Tenn. (Booth 3826)
  • Borges Fine Arts, Brooklyn, N.Y. (Booth 2804)
  • The Greenbriar Pottery, Watkinsville, Ga. (Booth 3726)
  • Lilach Lotan Pottery, Nanaimo, B.C. (Booth 4306)
  • Ridgetop Pottery, Kingwood, W.V. (Booth 4428)
  • Schall Studio & Design, Louisville, Ky. (Booth 3913)

“New work is one of the first things craft retailers seek out when they come to the Buyers Market,” says show director Christine Kloostra.  “Exhibiting new talent keeps retailers coming back year after year.”

Held semi-annually at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa., the Buyers Market is the nation’s largest wholesale craft show.  Attracting more than 9,000 buyers representing 3,000 companies, the Buyers Market features functional and decorative work by more than 1,300 artists from across the United States and Canada.

Artists interested in applying for the Buyers Market of American Craft can download an application and show prospectus at www.AmericanCraft.com or by calling 410.889.3093. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and artists can apply at any time during the year.
