Rosen Business Resource Center Sees Growth in Diversification
Baltimore, Md. (June 20, 2005)—The Rosen Business Resource Center (RBRC) will offer a wider variety of resouces to craft artists, retailers and arts educators as this summer's Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Craft, August 5-7, 2005. The more diverse offerings mark the RBRC's continued growth over its past five appearances at the biannual Buyers Market, the largest wholesale craft show in the country.
Resources available to artists and retailers include business materials like Quickbooks demo CDs, legal guides and other business support services. Informational help-sheets covering topics such as copywriting work, creating functional forms, pricing, building mailing lists, and business branding are also available to help craft artists and retailers strengthen and hone their business skills.
Arts educators will be interested in the RBRC’s Rosen Educator Program, which offers complimentary resources to help educators bring craft education into the classroom. After customized, guided Buyers Market tours, high school and college instructors can purchase the Ultimate Craft Toolkit, featuring the popular craft documentary Crafting an AmericanStyle. The craft documentary has aired in over 85 media markets, and has been used in arts education lesson plans across the nation.
“The RBRC’s expanded offerings will likely attract a larger audience,” says Alisha Vincent, Public Affairs Director for The Rosen Group. “We’re committed to educating artists, retailers, arts educators and students about the wholesale marketplace.”
The RBRC serves as the hub for the Visiting Artist Program, the premier educational program for artists considering the wholesale market, and all Buyers Market attendees are encouraged to visit for free resources, catalogues, discount codes and coupons for print, lighting and display suppliers, and more. The RBRC also offers substantial discounts on products to help craft businesses succeed, including Bruce Baker’s Dynamic Craft Selling and Booth Design and Merchandising CDs, as well as Richard Stim’s book, Your Craft Business.
