Baltimore, Md. (May 28, 2008)—Art lovers around the country can now vote for their favorite art fairs and festivals in AmericanStyle magazine’s Top 10 Art Fairs and Festivals readers’ poll. With the summer festival season poised to begin, art festivals across the country will jockey for first place on the list.

Now in its fifth year, the annual readers’ poll has become an award coveted by the nation’s top art events. The ballot allows voters to choose up to three art events from a list of 100 fairs and festivals, or to write in any other art event. One lucky voter will be chosen at random to receive a $500 travel gift certificate.

Baltimore, Md. (April 8, 2008) — Hidden jewels and perennial favorites are among the winners this week of AmericanStyle magazine’s annual poll determining the nation’s Top 25 Arts Destinations. For more than a decade, arts travelers have trusted the annual poll to guide them to emerging arts scenes and cultural meccas.

Santa Fe, N.M., held the No. 1 spot in the Small Cities and Towns category for the third consecutive year. Quiet Asheville, N.C., leaped into second place, rising from last year’s fifth place. Sedona, Ariz., dropped one place to No. 3.

Baltimore, Md. (March 5, 2008)—Artists across the U.S. and Canada will be casting their nominations this month for NICHE magazine’s 2008 Top Retailer Awards. Artists can nominate retailers and other arts organizations for the award by visiting www.AmericanCraft.com, where they can vote online or download a paper ballot to mail in. Voting opened February 15, 2008, and will close March 31, 2008.

The Top Retailer Awards annually recognize craft galleries and retailers, arts nonprofits, museums and guilds for growing and strengthening the American craft community.

February 20, 2005 (Philadelphia, PA)-- Winners of the 2005 NICHE Awards were honored today in a ceremony held at the Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Craft.
The coveted NICHE award was given to artists in 34 categories including glass, ceramics, jewelry, wood, metal and fiber.

The Buyers Market is Sizzlin' in the Summer
May 21, 2004 (Baltimore, MD) - An increase of 25% in registered artists for the 2004 Buyers Market of American Craft is a positive sign that the industry is growing. As of May 20, the Buyers Market has 777 committed artists for its summer show. For the same time period in 2003 and 2002, 619 and 616 artists, respectively, were registered for the show. The 2004 summer Buyers Market is expected to grow nearly 1000 exhibitors, a potential 25% increase from the previous years when approximately 800 artists exhibited at each show.
