Safe, effective toolless crate ideas:
Replace wooden crates that require tools to be opened with plastic
crates that can be secured with steel buckles and polyester strapping

Replace screws that require a screwdriver with hasps and padlocks.
Attach gate hooks to close and secure crates while in the hall.
